Problem
After analyzing numerous user interactions with the support service and conducting several interviews with individuals, we realized that users struggled to understand the differences between:
- the software publishing company, Auticiel.
- The Amikeo Suite, 10 applications accessible through an annual or monthly subscription, that can be purchased through an app store.
- The "Amikeo Pack", which includes a tablet equipped with custom software for disabled people and a three-year subscription to the Amikeo Suite, that can only be purchased on Auticiel’s website.
In addition to consolidating its offering's presentation,
Auticiel aims to improve B2C customer engagement with its applications. While each application is individually easy to use, users find it difficult to understand how the 10 applications in the
Amikeo Suite can be used together.
Interactions
To streamline the onboarding process for B2C users of the
Amikeo Suite, I also redesigned all the emails sent and adjusted their timing. To complement this work, numerous videos presenting the applications and their use cases were created. To achieve this, I mapped the journey of each individual user based on their acquisition channel.
I then added missing emails and revamped the most important ones for these channels to include:
- Information about the new access to the Amikeo Cloud and how to use it to quickly share content across applications..
- Use case videos demonstrating how to use multiple applications to address a specific problem.
- Tutorial videos for getting started with the main features of Auticiel’s tools.
- Registration links for training sessions provided by Auticiel trainers for families, to assist them in defining their educational projects.
interfaces
Auticiel has developed a Cloud platform enabling its professional clients to manage their tablet fleets. This platform includes a community library, allowing professionals to share customized content created for
Auticiel’s applications. Additionally,
Auticiel’s educational teams share a selection of content every month, centered around a specific theme.
To make the applications more accessible for B2C users,
Auticiel decided to include access to the Cloud platform in the
Amikeo subscription. This allows B2C users to access, among other things, the community content library. Previously, users had to create the content they needed themselves. With this library, they can now share new content in their applications and begin using it immediately upon subscribing.
To ensure individual users can access this Cloud platform and easily connect on a new device, we implemented a guided account creation system for
Amikeo. From now on, all new users will need to go through this workflow to subscribe to a new plan.
The childlike and school-oriented aspect of the applications, which has been a frequent criticism of Auticiel (as the originally child-focused audience has expanded to include other age groups over the years), was also addressed. Since the redesigned interfaces are aimed at caregivers rather than beneficiaries, I took the opportunity during this revamp of the signup flow to refine this aspect and make it more age-agnostic and professional.
